European Aluminium

European Aluminium is the leading industry association representing the aluminium value chain in Europe. Headquartered in Brussels, the organization brings together aluminium producers, recyclers, processors, semi-fabricators, downstream manufacturers and national industry associations operating across European markets.

The association represents companies active in primary aluminium production, recycling, rolling, extrusion, casting and downstream applications, including construction, transport, packaging, engineering and consumer products. Its members supply aluminium products and solutions used in windows, doors, façades, building-envelope systems, structural applications and other construction-related markets.

European Aluminium acts as the collective voice of the sector toward European Union institutions, national authorities, policymakers, regulators and other industry stakeholders. Its work focuses on industrial competitiveness, energy and climate policy, trade, circular economy, recycling, sustainability, decarbonisation, technical standards, market development and regulatory compliance.

A major part of the association’s activity is dedicated to supporting the transition toward a low-carbon and circular aluminium industry. European Aluminium promotes increased recycling, responsible resource use, lower-carbon production technologies, energy efficiency and the development of competitive European supply chains. It also produces market intelligence, technical studies, policy recommendations and sustainability data to support decision-making across the industry.

Through advocacy, research, technical expertise, working groups and cooperation with national aluminium associations and partner organizations, European Aluminium connects the entire European aluminium ecosystem and supports innovation, investment, sustainability and long-term competitiveness across the sector.
