Norske Trevarer

Norske Trevarer is the Norwegian industry association representing manufacturers and specialist companies active in timber products, joinery, building components and interior solutions. The organization brings together a broad network of independent Norwegian companies producing windows, doors, stairs, kitchens, wardrobes, furniture, mouldings, panels, roof trusses, customized interiors and other wood-based products for residential, commercial and public construction.

The association works to strengthen the competitiveness, profitability and long-term development of the Norwegian timber-products industry. It represents the interests of its members in business-policy, regulatory, technical and labour-market matters and acts as an important link between manufacturers, public authorities, construction-sector organizations and other industry stakeholders.

Norske Trevarer provides its members with a wide range of services, including technical guidance, legal and employment support, industry information, professional training, competence development, networking, recruitment initiatives and market-related advice. The association also promotes cooperation between member companies and supports knowledge sharing on production methods, digitalization, sustainability, product quality and changing regulatory requirements.

A strong focus is placed on sustainable construction and the use of renewable wood-based materials. Norske Trevarer promotes responsible resource use, circular-economy principles, climate-friendly production and the role of timber products in reducing the environmental impact of buildings and interiors.
