Teplotechna - Prima, s.r.o. was established in 1991 by privatization of two state-owned companies in the town of Teplice: Teplotechna Teplice n.p. and Uniprojekt s.p. Teplotechna n.p. was established in 1951 as a company with nationwide presence. During its existence, the company participated in construction projects of glass, chemical and metallurgical plants under various names. Uniprojekt s.p. was also founded in 1951 and during its existence, under various names, participated in projects in various areas of industrial production as a top state project planning institute. However, the most important areas were glass, chemical, ceramic and wood processing industries. The group in Teplice specialized in the glass industry. In 1989, after the dissolution of the former Ministry of Construction, Teplotechna Teplice s.p. was placed under the Ministry of Industry and during this period the two companies were merged. The unification resulted in the establishment of Teplotechna Teplice s.p. This company was the only one in the country capable of performing complex deliveries in the glass industry.
