The Department of Glass Producing Machines and Robotics , Technical University in Liberec is focused on science, research, development and education in two fields: • Glass machines (unique department in Europe), and • Robotisation and automation. We specialise in science, research, development, and teaching in the following areas: glass technologies, machines and equipment, 3D glass printing and glass micro-melting methods, industrial and service robotics, special types of effectors, machine vision systems for objects made from transparent or glossy materials, development of new glass materials and acoustic glass. The spin-off Glassiteca s.r.o. focuses on the transfer of science to business and has the ambitious objective of putting into practice a new material developed at the department, i.e., Glassticine.
