VMRG

VMRG – Vereniging Metalen Ramen en Gevelbranche – is the Dutch industry association for companies active in the design, manufacture, supply and installation of metal façades and façade elements. Its members are primarily manufacturers of aluminium and steel windows, doors, curtain walls, glazed façades, conservatories and other building-envelope systems, while partner companies supply products and services to the façade industry.

The association focuses strongly on quality assurance through the VMRG Quality Mark. Member companies must comply with the VMRG Quality Requirements and Recommendations, a comprehensive set of technical standards covering product quality, safety, comfort, sustainability, installation and performance. Certified companies are independently inspected every year by SKG-IKOB Certification. The VMRG requirements often go beyond the minimum legal standards and also address CE marking, declarations of performance and technical requirements for windows, doors and curtain-wall systems.

VMRG provides its members with a wide range of services, including technical and legal support, a specialist helpdesk, professional training, knowledge-sharing events, market and regulatory information, technical documentation, research and innovation projects, networking opportunities and representation within standards committees such as NEN. The association also supports members through working groups and technical committees dealing with façade-related regulations, construction technology, quality, safety, sustainability and digitalization.

The VMRG partner network includes companies supplying glazing, sealing technology, aluminium and steel systems and profiles, façade cladding, automation, access technology, climate-control solutions, surface treatments, panels, sun-shading systems, maintenance services and technical consultancy. Through this network, VMRG connects manufacturers with specialist suppliers and service providers across the façade value chain.

VMRG also promotes circular construction, sustainable façades, innovation, professional education and the long-term performance of buildings. Through industry communication, technical publications, research, events and cooperation with government bodies and sector organizations, VMRG works to improve the quality and competitiveness of the Dutch façade industry and to ensure durable, safe and high-performing building-envelope solutions.
