Saint-Gobain Glass Deutschland GmbH

Saint-Gobain Glass Deutschland GmbH is one of the leading manufacturers of flat glass solutions in Germany and part of the international Saint-Gobain Group. The group’s history dates back to 1665, when Saint-Gobain furnished the famous Hall of Mirrors at the Palace of Versailles—a milestone that laid the foundation for the glass industry. In 1966, the Saint-Gobain Group commissioned its first float glass plant at the Cologne-Porz facility, thereby revolutionizing the production of flat glass. Today, Saint-Gobain Glass Germany employs over 500 people at two locations in Cologne-Porz and Torgau. At each of these two production sites, SAINT-GOBAIN GLASS produces over 800 metric tons of glass per day. The flat glass is further processed into multifunctional glass for the building construction market, including thermal insulation, solar control, and safety glass.
