Schweizerische Zentrale Fenster und Fassaden SZFF/CSFF

The Swiss Centre for Windows and Façades (SZFF/CSFF) is a national technical and industry association representing companies and professionals active in windows, façades, glazing systems and the wider building-envelope sector. Founded in 1968, the organization connects industry, politics, education and research, supporting its members through technical expertise, industry information, professional networking, quality assurance and representation of sector interests.

SZFF/CSFF plays an important role in promoting high standards of quality, energy efficiency, sustainability and technical performance within the Swiss window and façade industry. Its services include the Minergie certification scheme for high-performance window systems, the Swiss energy label for windows, and dedicated quality-assurance programs for manufacturers of windows, doors and curtain-wall façades. Through its multi-level certification system, companies can obtain recognized quality labels such as “SZFF/CSFF Certified Quality Company” and “TOP Certified Quality Company.”

The association also operates a quality label and certification framework for professional façade cleaning, covering metal, natural stone and artificial-stone façades and requiring certified companies to comply with strict technical guidelines, documented procedures and independent quality inspections. In addition, SZFF/CSFF facilitates expert assessments and technical evaluations in cases involving construction defects, damage, disputes or performance issues related to façades, windows, doors, conservatories, roofs, railings, balconies and other metal-construction elements.

SZFF/CSFF further contributes to testing, inspection and certification activities through cooperation with SIPIZ AG, the Swiss testing, inspection and certification institute for fire-protection products. It is also a founding member of Sicherheit & Wohnen Schweiz (Security and Living Switzerland), promoting burglary protection and safer residential buildings. Through these activities, the association supports innovation, regulatory compliance, technical competence and long-term competitiveness across the Swiss window, façade and building-envelope industry.
