TMF

TMF – Trä- och Möbelföretagen, the Swedish Federation of Wood and Furniture Industry – is Sweden’s national industry and employers’ association representing companies active across the wood-processing, furniture, joinery and timber-based construction sectors. Its membership includes manufacturers of windows, doors, timber houses, stairs, flooring, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, specialist interiors and other processed wood products.

The association works to strengthen the competitiveness, profitability and long-term development of the Swedish wood and furniture industries. TMF represents the interests of its members in relation to government authorities, policymakers, labour-market organizations, standardization bodies, research institutions and other national and European industry stakeholders.

TMF provides a broad range of services to its members, including labour-law and collective-agreement support, technical guidance, regulatory monitoring, market statistics, professional training, competence development, networking, research and innovation support, sustainability initiatives and industry advocacy. The organization also helps member companies respond to developments in digitalization, production technology, construction regulations, environmental legislation, public procurement and export markets.

A major focus of TMF is the promotion of wood as a renewable, climate-efficient and technically advanced material for modern construction and interior applications. The association supports initiatives related to energy efficiency, circular economy, sustainable sourcing, reduced carbon emissions and increased use of timber-based products in buildings.

Within the window and door sector, TMF represents Swedish manufacturers and promotes product quality, technical standards, energy performance, sustainability and innovation.
