EPPA

EPPA – the European PVC Window Profiles and related Building Products Association – is the European trade association representing manufacturers of PVC window profile systems and related building products. Based in Brussels, EPPA acts as the collective voice of the European PVC window profile industry and provides a common platform for manufacturers, national associations and industry partners operating across Europe.

The association represents a sector responsible for more than 90% of European PVC window profile production. Its activities focus on PVC window technology, sustainability, recycling, circular economy, energy-efficient building renovation, technical standards, European legislation and public affairs.

EPPA works closely with European institutions, policymakers, regulators, standardization bodies and other construction-sector organizations to ensure that the interests and technical expertise of the PVC window industry are reflected in European policies and regulations. The association actively contributes to discussions concerning the Construction Products Regulation, energy performance of buildings, product sustainability, circular construction and European standards for windows and doors.

A major strategic focus is the development of closed-loop recycling systems for PVC windows. EPPA promotes the collection, dismantling and recycling of end-of-life windows and the reuse of recovered PVC in new window profiles, supporting the transition toward a circular and resource-efficient construction industry. Initiatives such as the OKNOREC project in Poland aim to organize the complete window replacement and recycling value chain and increase the use of recycled materials in new products.

EPPA also participates directly in European standardization activities and works with CEN committees on technical standards relevant to PVC profiles, windows and doors. Through technical studies, position papers, market information, industry events and cooperation with its members and partner organizations, EPPA promotes high-quality, durable, energy-efficient and recyclable window solutions.

By connecting leading European system suppliers, manufacturers and national industry associations, EPPA supports innovation, sustainable growth and the long-term competitiveness of the European PVC window profile sector.
