In my work, light is an essential component of the composition that dissolves the boundaries of materials. I explore the possibilities and limitations of various materials, and glass is the medium that fascinates me the most. It is technically demanding, and over the past 15 years I have made it my mission to explore as many different techniques and formal languages as possible. In doing so, I have found that I keep returning to the desire to capture the specific aesthetic responses of the materials when they interact with natural light. As a result, my works are never static; they change with the rhythm of the day and make the passage of time visible. I find these changes within a work of art incredibly exciting, and I love how the unique way it glows influences the space in an almost magical way. Because that’s what drives me—the desire to experience a little more creativity and beauty in everyday life.
