POVAS

POVAS – the Panhellenic Federation of Aluminium and Iron Craftsmen – is a national professional federation representing associations, craftsmen, manufacturers and specialist companies active in aluminium and steel construction across Greece. Founded in 1998, POVAS brings together regional and local professional organizations involved in windows, doors, façades, metal structures and related building-envelope activities.

The Federation works to protect and promote the professional, technical and economic interests of the aluminium and steel construction sector. Its activities include industry representation, technical guidance, professional training, regulatory information, certification support and initiatives focused on product quality, energy efficiency and compliance with European construction standards.

POVAS also supports window and door manufacturers with Factory Production Control (FPC) systems and technical documentation related to CE marking and construction-product requirements. Through seminars, industry events, technical resources and cooperation with public authorities, professional bodies and sector stakeholders, POVAS aims to improve professional competence, strengthen market standards and enhance the competitiveness of aluminium and steel construction companies in Greece.
