The company has now introduced a new bidirectional version of the NIX handle, available from May 2025, expanding the system’s versatility across doors, sliding units, folding systems and outward-opening applications.

A Handle that Moves Both Ways

The new mechanism allows installation on a wide variety of profiles and opening types. The NIX handle rotates from 0° to 180°, activating two opposing rods that simultaneously lock or release the sash. This bidirectional motion ensures effortless operation and secure closure across multiple configurations.

Flexible Mounting for Every System

Installation can be carried out laterally — fixing the accessory to the sliding profile via connecting pins — or frontally, as on traditional recessed handles. The lever remains fully flush within the profile when in use, preserving NIX’s trademark minimalist aesthetic. When installed on central nodes, the handle can be concealed entirely, maintaining the clean, continuous lines demanded by modern architectural design.

Ideal for Folding Systems

The bidirectional NIX version is particularly suited to bi-fold and folding systems, eliminating protrusions and easing operation when stacking panels. Specific adapters allow connection to threaded M8 rods or to aluminium rods with different closure tips, ensuring compatibility with a variety of frame geometries.

Designed for Versatility

To adapt to the diverse aluminium profiles available on the market, NIX is offered in three entry sizes (18 mm to 40 mm), each with optional key versions — a total of six product codes. The result is a handle family that combines adaptability with visual coherence.
