SOMFY Returns to Growth, Appoints Sébastien Picot as CEO
SOMFY, the global leader in window and door automation, reported a 4.8% rise in revenue for 2024, reaching €1.5 billion, driven by strong international sales, expanded service offerings, and continued investment in innovation.
Growth was particularly strong in North America, Latin America, Eastern Europe, and the Middle East. Highlights of the year included the surge in solar product sales, the launch of Amy® io smart control points for thermal comfort, and the introduction of the Animeo® Suite to support commercial building renovations.
The company also advanced its digital transformation, expanding SAP implementation to 13 entities — now representing 37% of total revenue — with the French roll-out scheduled for 2025. Sustainability remains a core focus, with eco-designed products accounting for 80% of revenue and further reductions in carbon emissions.
On April 23, Sébastien Picot will assume the role of CEO, succeeding Pierre Ribeiro. Picot, who joined SOMFY in 2023 as Director of Sales and Brands, brings extensive experience from Essilor and OC&C Strategy Consultants. His mission is to accelerate growth, strengthen innovation, and deepen the company’s sustainability commitments.
Chairman Jean Guillaume Despature praised SOMFY’s resilience and transformation under Ribeiro’s leadership, noting that Picot’s appointment marks “the beginning of a new chapter” aligned with the company’s vision of “inspiring better, more accessible ways of living.”
