On 23 July 2024, the shareholders of Niederhoff & Dellenbusch GmbH & Co. KG (DENI) and OGRO Beschlagtechnik GmbH signed a merger agreement. With retroactive effect from 1 January 2024, DENI was integrated into OGRO, and the company was renamed OGRO+DENI GmbH.

The merger brought together two respected brands in German hardware manufacturing, uniting their expertise under one roof. With more than 261 years of combined competence in locks and hardware, OGRO+DENI GmbH represents continuity, innovation and renewed strength at its headquarters in Velbert-Neviges, the historic heart of German fittings production.

A Legacy of Craftsmanship and Quality.

Since 1866, OGRO has stood for manufactory precision, with every door handle, pull bar and window fitting carefully hand-ground and hand-finished by experienced craftsmen. DENI, with its long history and strong reputation in lock and hardware solutions, brought additional depth to this tradition. Together, they now embody a stronger, broader foundation for the future.

OGRO+DENI processes 60 tonnes of aluminium and 180 tonnes of stainless steel annually, producing around 2.7 million hardware components each year. With more than 31,000 shipments worldwide, the company delivers hardware that is as reliable in schools and public buildings as it is in global landmarks such as the Federal Chancellery in Berlin and the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

Broader Portfolio, Stronger Competence.

By merging, OGRO+DENI now provides:

  • Hardware solutions for doors, windows and gates.
  • Product solutions and manufacturing competence for industry, ensuring custom developments and tailored systems.

The company continues to invest in lean production and environmental management, ensuring both efficiency and sustainability across the entire supply chain.

Certified Quality, Made in Germany.

OGRO+DENI’s products are regularly tested and certified to meet – and consistently exceed – international standards. This dedication reflects the brand’s enduring philosophy: technology and design in true manufactory quality, proudly Made in Germany.

A Stronger Brand for the Future.

The management team – Andreas Schmitt, Volker Kirchberg and Frank vom Endt – underline that the merger is more than a change of name. It represents a strategic step to secure greater stability, broader expertise and stronger market presence, while preserving the heritage of both OGRO and DENI.
