Hardware supplier VBH has introduced a new system designed specifically for aluminium lift and slide patio doors. Developed in collaboration with Italian hardware specialist AGB, the new greenteQ ClearLIFT Slim combines sleek design with robust performance, offering fabricators and installers a premium solution for modern sliding doors.

Slimline strength and smooth operation.

ClearLIFT Slim accommodates sashes weighing up to 250 kg as standard, with capacity increased to 400 kg through the addition of a single component. This makes it possible to produce panels up to 3.6 m wide and 2.75 m high, maximising natural light and enabling wide-open views.

Security is provided by two heavy-duty hook bolts, with the option to add extra hooks at the middle and top of the door. When open, the hooks retract neatly into the sash, while striker plates sit flush to the frame – delivering both safety and a clean finish, with no risk of snagging on projections.

Enhanced comfort through smart options.

The system also offers optional extras for greater comfort and usability. These include a ventilation position, an Auto-Brake Closing Damper that gently slows the sash as it meets the frame, and an Opening Damper for controlled opening. Assisted Operation Kits are also available to reduce effort when lifting and lowering the sash, making operation smooth and accessible.

Proven durability.

VBH highlights that the hardware has been tested to 25,000 opening cycles and has achieved a Grade 5 rating under BS EN1670 for corrosion resistance. Many components also feature AGB’s Activeage surface protection treatment, proven to withstand 2,000 hours in neutral salt spray testing.

Market debut in London.

The first major installation of ClearLIFT Slim was carried out by BSW Window Solutions of Peterborough, who fitted 96 sets in a new apartment development in west London – a clear indication of demand for slimline, high-performance hardware in contemporary residential projects.
