Aluron has officially joined the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen (DGNB), the German Sustainable Building Association, signalling a clear commitment to advancing sustainable construction and promoting the highest standards in the design, production, and operation of buildings.

Founded in 2007 in Stuttgart by architects, engineers, and industry experts, DGNB is renowned for its holistic building and district certification system, which assesses projects across environmental, economic, socio-cultural, functional, and technical criteria — all based on a building’s full life cycle.

For architects, investors, and contractors, Aluron’s membership is more than a symbolic move. It confirms that the company’s aluminium systems are developed to meet the strictest sustainability and quality requirements, supporting investments aligned with ESG principles and facilitating the attainment of certifications such as DGNB.

Membership also gives Aluron early access to emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainable building certification, ensuring its systems remain innovative and compliant with evolving market demands.

DGNB certification is widely regarded as one of the most rigorous in the world, with four achievable levels — Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. It is unique in its emphasis on long-term performance, measuring a building’s environmental impact, costs, and benefits over decades.

By joining DGNB, Aluron reinforces its role in shaping future-proof architecture — delivering solutions that blend environmental efficiency, social responsibility, and cutting-edge design.
